Date with Confidence: Introducing the ‘Share My Date’ Feature

Safety shouldn’t be complicated. With one click, keep your friends in the loop and focus on the fun.

Going on a first date is a mix of emotions. There is excitement, anticipation, and yes, usually a little bit of nervousness. While we all hope for sparks and chemistry, personal safety is the most important thing on the checklist.

Usually, staying safe means taking screenshots of profiles, copying addresses, and texting three different friends before you leave the house. It’s a hassle, and it kills the romantic vibe.

At B4Mate, we wanted to make safety seamless. That is why we developed the Share My Date feature—a simple, integrated tool designed to give you (and your besties) total peace of mind.

Here is how it works and why it’s going to change the way you prep for a night out.

What is Share My Date?

Share My Date is a built-in safety timeline that allows you to send all the critical details of your upcoming date to a trusted contact (or contacts) directly from the app.

Instead of scrambling to screenshot a profile or drop a pin on a map manually, this feature packages everything your friends need to know into one secure link. It acts as your digital “buddy system,” ensuring that someone always knows where you are and who you are with.

How It Works: Safety in 3 Steps

We designed this to be quick, so you can focus on picking out your outfit, not worrying about logistics.

Select Your Contact: Choose a trusted friend or family member from your contacts list.
Auto-Fill Details: The feature automatically pulls the essential info: the name and photo of the person you are meeting, and the time of the date. You can manually add the location (restaurant, park, etc.).
Send: With one tap, your contact receives a secure message with all the details.

Why You Should Use It

1. It Removes the Awkwardness You don’t have to ask your date for their full name or details to text your mom. The app handles the data from their public profile, so you can be safe without making the conversation feel like an interrogation.

2. Real-Time Peace of Mind Knowing that your best friend has your back allows you to relax. You aren’t constantly checking your phone or worrying “what if.” You can be present in the moment, listen to your date, and actually enjoy yourself.

3. It’s Discreet Your date doesn’t need to know you have used the feature. It is a private action between you and your safety circle.
